Saturday at the Y in 84 degree water was fine. I watchd a red bird trying to get in the windows. He flew into them, hopped on the sill, tried for the doors. He was just cold. I do have a meet this weekend with the kids. I was going to do 3 out of the 4 events I need to do for my IMX rank. 200 Back, 200 IM and 400 IM. The next kids meet is the freestyle frenzie where I can do the 500 Free which is the last even I need. Trying to decide which meet to do, the Zone meet in Atlanta or the Columbia meet. Leaning toward Columbia so that I can have a peaceful fun time. I will miss some of my Atlanta friends but I also have teammates traveling with me now. If you know me well you know why I avoid Atlanta meets. This was the fastest 1500 free scm I have done since 2009. I have to say my heat was very competitive among the top 6 swimmers in the heat from 22:09 to 22:26. I can say I actually had to pull ahead of 2 swimmers just to get 3rd in the heat and I was catching up to number 2 but lost by 2 seconds.
This was a fast and tough one with masters.
