Mixing it up this year

I really like my toys and will continue to use them. The mix will be both distance and sprints. My focus for this year is to maintain my 200 fly time.

    Just could not seem to move today. Still feeling the massage from Friday but then again I have not been good about drinking my water.

    This is week 2 of taper where I feel like I can't move anyway to good.

  2. Swimming at the Y

    Went to the Y today to swim no kids today, just me. An old lady came in and a middle aged lady left, atleast that is how I felt.

  3. half asleep and still swimming

    Not a good night for on call and having to work then swim.

    PS forgot to mention I will be pampering myself today with a 1 hour massage followed by a chiropractic adjustment. Next friday too! YEAH!

  4. Oh that tired feeling

    Had a neighbor ringing the doorbell at 2:30am needing to use the phone. I should have just slept thru it since tonight I have to work. YUCK.

  6. Breaststroke day - I really needed this

    I know I usually shy away from breast due to my knees but only 2.5 weeks out and I need to get serious about it now.

  10. Mixing up the lanes

    Today the aquatic center mixed up all the lanes. We get so used to a routine and then they change it on you.

  11. Able to breath better today LOVE THE WATER!

    Took a hit off the inhaler last night and did much better this morning. Redid the main set from yesterday for today just to make sure I could do it without any lung issues.

    As for my back I was the little old lady trying to get up the stairs this morning all hunched over and barely able to move. WATER IS WONDERFUL!

  12. Is breathing over rated?

    Had issues with my allergies this morning. I knew on #6 of the 100's I was about to convert over to a rapid heart beat due to lack of oxygen so I backed off and did backstroke on that one then just warmed down.

    I hate that this is happening 4 1/2 weeks out from Y Nationals but then I know this always happens when my allergies are bad.

  15. What possessed me... my legs are itching now

    I decided to do breaststroke today and usually after alot of leg work like in breaststroke I guess I am getting the circulation going good so my legs itch now.

  18. No Equipment with me

    After an 8 hour drive yesterday I am back to the normal grind. I really still need more sleep but that will wait. I went to get my equipment bag out of the car and my husband had unpacked my car and put it in the house. I had to borrow a kickboard and pull bouy

  19. Swimming with Skippy

    Went to practice at Dynamo this morning and shared with Skippy. Good workout. Glad the day went the way it did because we could have ended up stuck inthe traffic mess instead of trying to figure a way around it in time.

  20. The lopsided stroke

    Today reminded me of how my left arm is so much stronger than my right arm. Still about 5 seconds difference between them on a 1 arm 50 yard swim.
