  1. Great Meet Today

    I went into this meet with the intention of just trying to swim my 50 Free in under 29 but ended up going 28.62. I knew there was not going to be too much rest between this and the 500 Free. So the 500 Free was going to be my warm down.

    Oh well, I started out with a long relaxed stroke and started building thru the race. I figured I was somewhere around 6:20 or so but looked on the board and saw 6:13.56 a personal best.

  3. Still slow but not as slow as yesterday

    500 Fly kick w/fins odds normal kick evens under water with a kickboard submerged this is actually kind of fun to do
    8x50 Free from a dive 20 yard sprints rest easy #5 was horrible (too deep) but the rest were good
    300 Free easy

  5. Beaten down attempt at sprints

    Just felt slow and sluggish today, I think yesterday really took alot out of me and my muscles.

  6. Starting the week off right

    Today I decided to challenge myself and not use anything but a kickboard during the workout.

    500 Free every 3rd 25 drill, 2 fly skull, 2 double arm back, and 2 breast skull

    3x100@1:30 Free
    200 Free kick

    This evening I swam with the girls for the first part then pulled out before the hard stuff even though I could probably do it, I wanted them to be able to have the lanes without me in it.

  7. Saturday with the girls

  9. I HATE ON-CALL!

    After being paged every half hour from 1:30am on till morning. A system crash that we tried 3 times to bring back up finally came up during the middle of this mornings workout so workout was a little broken up.

  10. Sprinting? Not too bad...

    Today I tried to sprint alittle at the end of practice and did not do too badly. It is hard to get your time at the feet off a turn but it's close enough.

  11. Recovering from yard work

    I have blisters on my hands, my biceps are aching and my back & neck muscles are sore. That is why I am a water creature!

  12. Second Open Water Swim

    Today I did my second open water swim with the River Rats. Since the pool was closed and the tide was right we swam 2 miles in the river today. It only took 40 minutes with the current and I did almost end up in the reeds once. Too close to the bank.

    Glad that I was able to arrange my on call schedule to be able to swim this.

  16. Too much STRESS

  18. Lack of enregy

    Even with a general lack of energy I managed a decent workout. Hopefully the appetite will pick up some this week. I know on the kick sets my legs were itchy after so I was getting the effort I needed even if the time didn't reflect that.

  19. Another Easy Saturday

    With all the turmoil this week it is great to have a nice easy workout with the kids. David joined us for the first time and McKaylin just got out of the hospital 2 days ago but was ready to swim.

    Now I am off to find out where my husbands car was towed too so that I can get it back but most of these offices are closed till Monday. With all the knots in my stomach I have dropped 5 pounds in the last 3 days.
