  3. YUCK sinus drainage

    Took me a half hour just to cough up all the gunk that went down my throat and rid myself of the nasal drainage.

    As usual I totally cleared up at the pool and actually felt fairly good.

  4. Still feeling like crap but was able to breath better

    Missed my Saturday workout cause I just didn't get enough sleep.

    Chlorine works miracles. I was so congested and once I get in and start swimming I can breath, no congestion at all. Still had the nagging cough and the pressure behind my cheek bones on every flip turn but over all I felt ok in the pool room. Now at work I am stuffed up again and coughing up a storm.

    When will this be over?

  5. Felt like crap this morning, hard to breath again

    Just alot more drainage to combat last night. Pushed the 400 and the 2 200's but then my lungs forced me to slow down considerably.

    My head clears up in the pool but the lungs take a little longer, usually about a half hour to adjust.

    Swam mid pack with 2 guys behind me today that meant I pushed the entire time and swam with paddles & bouy the entire time. Yes I was the only female in the lane today.

    Was asleep for the warmup. The guard laughed when I asked if I could use his rescue tube as my pillow.

    I desided to work on Backstoke and it turned into a good effort.

  13. Great meet this weekend

    It is always fun to go to the South Carolina State Championships in North Myrtle Beach. Diane always does a great job putting this meet together. They provide hospitality for the Swimmers all day Saturday and Sunday, and a fun social at Wild Wing Cafe.

    Event though I only had 3 good swims the 1650 Free, 50 Fly and 200 Fly, it was great having 5 other Georgia swimmers join me this time.

  20. Day 4 of my mini fast

    The next few day will be survive the workouts, no speed needed. I have lost 5 pounds and got my morning blood glucose back down to below 100. I now have to really lose this weight. Goal is 170 which I have not been at since 2008 when I was swimming doubles with the kids.
