Almost didn't get to swim today! Lots of Heat Lightening - I started & went back home three times before I decided to go & try it - and lucky for me, we never got pulled out of the pool. It was completely dry & no thunder what-so-ever, anyway.
Swam solo, and I was doing my usual solo warm up of 100 free, 25 back/25 breast for a total of 600 and planning on doing 14 x 150's afterwards, when I realized that the warm up consisted of 4 x 150's and that if I just did a little bit more, I could say that I went 20 x 150's! Then as workout progressed, and I was deciding how to do it (groups of 4 or 5 or whatever) I realized that I really wanted to do 5 different sort of sets - but I was already in set 3, so I added a 5th set of 5 x 150's. THEN I realized that 30 x 150's was 4500 - much closer to my goal yardage & decided to tack on another 5 x 150's. All in all, a satisfying morning, even though I swam by myself, and pretty much didn't worry about going hard (elbows a bit tender the last two days).
Not bad for getting there 20 mins late!

5 x 150; 100 free/25 back/25 breast
5 x 150 P, no paddles on 2:20
5 x 150 IM twitch (ashamed to say, I wore my zoomers) on 2:30
5 x 150 P, with paddles on 2:15 - holding around 1:58
5 x 150 free/kick/free on 2:15 (w/zoomers)
5 x 150 breast/free as follows: 25 breast, 25 free, 50 breast, 25 free, 25 breast

Total: 4500 SCY

Superkid leaves on his mission 3 months from today. The grieving process has already started. Almost lost it at dinner last night, thinking about how much I'm going to miss him. Two years! I should be better at this, having sent his two older brothers off on missions already - I survived that - but he's my baby boy. . . .and my house will be very very empty and quiet without him in it.
