A couple hours at work this morning got me up at 5:00am, but at least I got something done and a few dollars in my pocket. I was very tired as I arrived at the pool though. Combo of last night's practice, plus work, plus a.m. swimming...I'm gonna sleep good soon.

I haven't had a 30K week in ages. Good going. You might as well try to get near 40K tomorrow.

40K??!??! Yeah right, not this week. I'm taking the day off...though I could go for the YMCA lap swim session which is two hours, but there's only 2 lanes available, and it's honestly not worth my effort to battle the "non-swimmer" lap swimmers. Circle swimming? Intervals? Sets? What's that?!

I'm not sure where to post this so I'm putting it here. I was looking over the results from NE Champs and someone did this in a 200 fly:

    46.30 1:42.11 (55.81) 2:51.45 (1:09.34) 4:14.03 (1:22.58)

He split his 100's 49.81 seconds apart.

I think a moment of silence is in order.

I wasn't being mysterious or coy about who swam it; I didn't mention his name because I don't know him and don't want to embarrass him. Honestly, I have to give him props for finishing. It must have been grueling.

I know. There were a lot of folks that really put it all out and swam a tough event. James was giving me grief for scratching it.
