It was icky poo hot in the pool today. That was the only negative point of the day though. I had good swimming conditions otherwise. I was solo in my lane for the first 20 or so minutes, then #2 came, and then didn't have a 3rd person till I was past 3000 yards, but the 2nd person got out shortly afterward, bringing me back to 2 in the lane. On the public swim side of the pool there were only 2 teenage girls playing for most of the session, and a mom & dad came with their 3 kids later.

I planned to just do a somewhat straight-thru type of swim today, since usually my YMCA lap swim sessions get me pretty , but today was okay.

Warmup/Main Set/All-In-One workout:

I took just enough rest between each thing to change equipment, which was typically 5 seconds or less. I didn't really check times except for the couple that are noted. It was pretty much just cruising, aside from the final 500 which I picked up a bit.

You are trolling for something here, but I'm not sure what.

Good thing I'm in the 400 IM just prior to the 1500. I expect another epic battle as we did in Wenatchee.
I'm doing the two different IM/distance Free back to back doubles in this meet, with the 200 Free sprint in the middle to mix it up.

Assuming there are 3 heats of the 1500 due to the 18-entry limit, we'll probably be in the 3rd heat, so I don't think you'll have a problem. There could be over an hour in between your races.

HAHA - This is the Inland NW...not the Colony Zone. I plan for 2 heats, but 3 would be a bonus.

Nice swim, but aren't you supposed to have an off day? I don't know how you do all this, plus your 6000+ yard workouts with the kids

Do you know any places to swim in downtown Seattle? I'll be there for work for a few days in late March, probably won't have a car (but I guess I could...). Was just going to do the rail to/from SeaTac. I guess I could always opt for the 'free' option:

It looks pretty close to where I'll be (.4 miles away).

I did have my off day on Saturday Tim!! But I was working overtime and missed my normal practice. Had I gone Saturday, I would've not swum today.

As for pools in Seattle, here is a link to the City of Seattle Pools. I've swum at the Medgar Evers pool while I was there when my son was in the hospital. Not sure how far from where you're staying, but you can check them out.

or the PNA "places to swim" link:
http://www.swimpna.org/w/PNA/places-to-swim/ which has a lot to go through, but you may be able to get hooked up with one of the masters groups possibly.

Yeah, Medgar Evers is probably the best bet from downtown. All the pools right downtown are in private clubs. You can take the #3 bus from downtown to Medgar Evers.

Depending on where you're staying Queen Anne could also be an option. If you are staying closer to Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is) this pool isn't too far:

But honestly neither of these pools is anything special. I certainly wouldn't take a bus trip to get to one of them if you can walk to 24 Hour Fitness.
