1st official day of summer break!

I love being on vacation/break!
I got up early and started on my project; I'm cleaning out the 5th bedroom and making it my girl cave.
I am purchasing a permanent table for my sewing machine/crafts, and putting some kind of comfy reading couch in there for relaxation. I may try to get a small flatscreen for the wall too.
I like this room, it's pretty basic but it has 2 sunny windows and reeks of calmness and zen. I'm taking a road trip to IKEA tomorrow to find what I need and finish it out!

Swam solo today at Carmel High School Natatorium.
I was under NO time frame. These type workouts are great! Here's how it went:

-----Warm-up Set-----
300 Freestyle Swim
200 Kick (alt dolfin/flutter no fins)
3 X 100 IM stretching it out
-----main set-----
*5 X 100 Freestyle on 2:00 interval
*5 X 100 Freestyle on 1:50 Interval
*5 X 100 Freestyle on 1:45 Interval
*500 freestyle swim
*20 X 50 (3 each stroke, 11 freestyle) all on 1:00
-----Cool-down-----
*4 X 25 Kick flutter afap (not sure why I did this)
*8 X 25 Freestyle Easy with Finis Paddles, stretch and roll on :45
4,100 scm
My son, youngest daughter and I had lunch @ Noodle Company. After lunch we went home, sat around the pool for a couple of hours, then made chex mix snack. I love vacation!

Has anyone done the Lake Canadaguia 2 mile swim.
I kind of feel the whim to go do it. I am wondering how cold the water is. If it's below 68 I would not consider it fun.

I thought about doing but I have a USA-S meet that weekend. I was in the Atlantic City Bay and it was in the low 70s and felt really good. I heard people at my Sunday practice about about some tri they did where the lake was really cold. I am sure that you can do a search and find out what the temperature is. Good luck if you do it.

That sounds like a great swim practice bobinator!
And your vacation activities sound great too - I'm always saying I'm going to set up a dedicated craft room, but Inever do. Kudos to you for actually getting it done...

I'm in the beginning weeks of summer school - one down, one in, and two to go! Maybe after that's all over I'll make some headway on the ol' craft center

Enjoy your vacation. I know when our pool got down to 72 last year I thought that was too cold for me without atleast a full arm and leg lycra suit which I have just to keep me from breaking out a wetsuit.

    Hurray for summer!

I love your idea of a "girl cave." It sounds quite heavenly. Be sure to put Jimby in that room when he comes to visit.
