Swimming in Michiagn

We went up to Michigan for the weekend. On Saturday, we did a workout in the "Hugh J Roddin Natatorium." This was my first real swim workout in several months...
500 swim
4 x 100 stroke drills
4 times:
75 on 1:30
50 on 1:00
25 on :30 (work the 25)
100 easy
2 x 200 (one free, one back)
Did the free in 2:35 and the back in 2:46. I just wanted to get a gauge on where I was so that I wouldn't be surprised when I swam slow at the meet on Sunday.
300 warm down
Sunday:
Swim meet at Woodhaven HS (where Jeff went to HS and still holds lots of records...and he swam almost as fast as those records on Sunday, was only .16 slower in 100 back!)...
1000 warm up- felt ok, arms were tired and right shoulder a little sore
100 back- 1:11.14 (yes, this is short course yards)
100 breast- 1:29- remind me not to do this again. Breaststroke is not a good stroke to swim two days after a long run. Legs were burning after this and I couldn't stop laughing!
200 back- 2:44. Oh well, a personal worst by over 10 seconds and 25 seconds slower than my masters best. I learned that when you're out of shape, it's really hard to swim faster than you can in a workout.
Up next...Rutgers. Two weeks isn't really any amount of time to be building too much fitness, but I'll do what I can and just have a really fun time at the meet. I signed up for 5 events, and will see how it goes.
