Detailed the car, worked in yard, did laundry, and cleaned next week's vegetables.
Decided to take a little run with a friend.
Took off really slow, then slower. Finally the last 20 minutes I took off on my own and ran my pace. It was a very hot/humid, but enjoyable 40 minute run.
Today at the end of swim practice we worked on relay starts. I learned from 2 of our good sprinter guys I was taking an" extra stroke in" and disabling the outgoing swimmer. I worked on it awhile and will continue to do so. I'm a little nervous about the relays at nats. I am so not a sprinter...I hope I don't let anyone down or disappoint them.

Just remember, you could get a top ten from a relay. I noticed in LCM that there are enough relays to make a complete Top Ten list. In some age groups, there will be only 5 relays, etc. I am kind of looking forward to relay day off.

That's nice to have Sat. off. I am doing 4 relays. The thing that makes me nervous is that the other 3 girls are 30 to 34 yrs old. I will definitely be the lead weight on the team. I'd really be psyched if I were with older ladies. Oh well, I will just do my very best and hope for a miracle

So they're younger and maybe they're faster, but you are on the relay so you are the one for the job they need done! No miracle needed - your team mates know your swim so they know what you bring to the team - totally awesome dedication and spirit that will bring out your best swim. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

    Bring it!
