New Year...New Goals

Finally made it through an hour

I went to practice last night with FXCM more because I needed to burn off the entire pizza I had for dinner. It was a good workout and I made it through the whole hour. Nothing was fast, and my shoulder hurt a little, but Anita in my lane talked a lot about her shoulder tendonitis and recovery and I got some good tips.

FXCM- Audrey Moore (SCY)
200 warm up

3 x 200 free drill/swim by 50

300 kick every 3rd length hard
100 easy

2 x (3 x 200 descend by 200) on 3:00
100 easy

8 x 50 stroke on :50 warm down

2900 yards total

I worked the 200s as hard as I could and couldn't break 2:30. It's hard to swim hard when getting back in shape! Funny how your goals change, just last spring I was doing 200s on a 2:30ish interval and now I'm struggling just to make a 200 on 2:30. I felt strong throughout the whole practice which was great! Still looking forward to this weekend's swim meet!

    lots of strength exercises with 5 lbs weights and patience. Her's lasted months and months. UGH!
