You had some great swims, and consistently solid relays. That was a lot of events and you were probably feeling it at the end of day 2 and day 3.

Hope you can sleep all this week to recover. Good meet.

but breathed each stroke and barely kicked
    What a show off!

    Excellent job Ande!

Great swimming. I think the 200 IM WR took a lot out of you though. Very nice to set so many relay records!

Were you going for the high point? Is that why you swam events at a bit less than 100%

I better not hear that you're not sore after that beating ...

great job ande! it sounds like it was a lot of fun. i can't imagine all of the fast swimming you were able to see.

    hey qbrain
    thank you
I was feeling it after those 200's on friday
    I like to recover

    hi tjrpatt
in the IM, on fly I breathed each stroke and barely kicked
i kicked like crazy on breast and free
    thank you

    Thank you leslie,
the IM was a NR, It and the 200 fr took a lot out of me
we got all the relay records we aimed for, hoped to improve our 4 x 50 fr relay

I was going for the high point, missed it by a point last year so I swam several events at less than 100% to go for the win and some events I did the best I could but was tired after events before it

    I'm not sore

    hey KEWebb18
had lots of fun. it was a great time

Ande interupted me when I started to critique his 100 IM - he was just GOING FOR THE W!

BUT DANG! The Texas boyz swam FAST!

We loved having them here even if they did sit on 2nd place side of the pool!

    Ande,

That's A LOT of fast swimming with all of those relays and individual events. You should be happy and deserving of a break, rest, etc.

Tell Tyler congrats and that he needs to blog his workouts, as well (I need some pointers from a smoking 200/400 guy!). That 200 free is smoking, especially as he was way fast last SCM season already.

    Ande,

    Great meet.

A suggestion, take it or leave it: maybe you Texas guys should just pick one relay per day to really focus on. All those relays...really take it out of you. Quality vs quantity? Maybe pick the relay you guys can really crank on (well, you can crank on all of them, can't you?) or that you are really psyched about, and do it.

I do something similar at our Zones SCY meet but it is rarely my season-ending meet so it is not big deal. We always ask the team members, which of you are tapering for this meet and how many relays (max) do you want to swim?

Anyway, good job, especially on that huge drop in the 200 IM. Yikes!

    Thank you Ahelee,
I shoulda shut up and listened
I just wanted to win and save some the relay which wound up being a mistake

    hey pat

thanks, it was kinda hard doing all those events it's much better to do 2 or 3 a day
I didn't swim today or yesterday
    hope to swim tomorrow

    Tyler is a sporatic blogger
    http://b23.net/tbwp/
    he's young and fast
trains hard but often skips warm up

    Thanks Chris,
great suggestion we were being piggy
we were trying to break WRs
All those relays really took it out of me
Quality is better last year just me and david went to the meet so we didn't do any relays

the IM was my best race
it was my first swim, I wore a new blue seventy and stuck with my race plan

    Well done Ande.

You really threw down in that 200IM and came real close to that tough WR.
  11. ande's Avatar
i needed to get after it a little more
but holding back and staying relaxed allowed me to do good splits on back and free
