Of Swimming Bondage

I considered trying to go over to Princeton University this morning as they have uncoached masters lap hours from 5am to 6:45am, but just couldn't drag my body out of bed that early. Kind of a bummer as I need another pool for my list. Instead, I did some stretching and 2 rounds of the following in my hotel room:

  • Stretch cords
    • Shoulder blade pinch -- 15 reps
    • Catch position external rotation -- 15 reps
    • Core chest press -- 15 reps
    • Full can -- 15 reps
    • Triceps press - 15 reps

  • "Core"
    • Birddog -- ~30 seconds each arm times two
    • Plank progression
      • ~30 seconds regular plank
      • ~30 seconds left side
      • ~30 seconds right side
      • ~30 seconds regular plan

    • Downward Dog -- ~30 seconds

It's not a big deal for me to miss a swim today, as I should be able to get a quality workout & a technique oriented workout in on Thursday and Friday; Saturday is the 4K OW swim, which I'll chalk up as a quality workout (who's entered thus far

    I wonder if they changed the pool over to LCM yet over there. Getting the sleep was more important. that is cool that they have the lap swimming going on over there at that time.
