    Very long relay swim

This is something I've been kicking around for awhile and can't seem to get any interest here in Ketchikan. The idea is to relay swim around Revillagegedo Island (island ketchikan is on). the trip would be about 150 - 200 miles, the relay would consist of 7 -10 swimmers each swimming equil legs of the trip until complete. I would like to make the attempt either in August 2009 or 2010. I expect the water to be cold, wetsuits will not be allowed, currents will be nasty in some areas, you will be stuck on a boat in cramped quarters for days and kayaking will be your only escape. Now if that got your interest and you can swim about 2 -3 mph for 4 -10 hours, then you are the type of person we would like to talk to.

I'm looking for 3 to 4 solid Alaskan swimmers and will fill the rest of the relay out with swimmers from South.

If you are interested use the private message link and give you some contact info and we will get started at putting this thing togather.
