I just got a Raleigh "path racer" style of bike, called the Preston. Fun little bike and was 50% off when I got it. Very happy and looking forward to better weather here!

Does it have wider tires? Good price drop for a new bike. Enjoy it.

Aaaacchhoo! Is it pollen season all year or just now?
That Jeep is a rugged vehicle and should last a long time.
Is there a bike rack on the back?

Well, driving over 100 miles a day, most of it back and forth to swim practices for 67Princesses, has been taking a toll on the odometer of my BMW. Have a Tesla Model 3 Performance on the way! Should be saving over $350 a month in fuel costs.

Anyone interested in a really nice E60 M-Sport, manual transmission 535i?

What will be the range on the 3?
Does highway deliver less than around town?
I am interested when you get it to find out.

The Performance is rated at 310 miles, but somehow it seems that Tesla was able to rate it the same as the AWD long range. Surprisingly (to me, anyway), the tires have a HUGE impact, and it comes with performance tires. I bought smaller wheels (19, rather than 20) to help improve range and lower the risk of bent wheels, hopefully that will help some since they are lighter (though intertia works both ways - at steady speeds, it won't matter, only while accelerating).

I got the car Saturday night, and took 67Princesses to IU for a swim camp yesterday, but drove them in the BMW. Have a small outpatient procedure tomorrow, so it will be Wednesday before I can drive it. I plan to pick up the girls in it on Friday. Will go down Thursday night and get a hotel since they have a few races set up at 9:00 Friday morning before they check out. Will get a feel for highway range then. I assume it will be like a hyrbrid in that the city mileage will be better than the highway mileage.

Let me know when you get a few trips on the Tesla for milage range.
Hope all goes well with the health issue.

Seems that elevation and speed have a larger impact on it than ICE cars. Was getting probably 15% reduced range on highway goinig through elevation, but a good 5% better than stated range flat and level on back roads. So more variability at higher speeds (i.e. non "city" driving). But the car was a joy to drive from Knoxville to Bloomington today. Stopped in Lexington for a bite and a top off. Will go home tomorrow and likely hit the same place.

Think they found what drove me to have the procedure, but had to do a biopsy from something else they found, regardless. Should hear back shortly, but all signs are that things are fine.

Well that's good news about better in some places of better than projected MPKw.
I remember in my old Datsun 1200, the mpg dropped in the rockies --- a lot!
I wonder, other than you & me, who will figure out ICE ?

WOW!! Chris Froome crashed out of the 4th stage of the Criterium du Dauphine in the time trial stage. He crashed severely, breaking his femur, some ribs, elbow and internal injuries! He is now in intensive care after hours of surgery and needless to say out of the upcoming Tour de France in July!
Will recover enough to race at the elite level ever again?

I went for a 17 mile bicycle ride on tue. and the temp. was 91 degrees! Hot and into the wind the last 5 miles did me in.
I'm getting older and feel it more now!

I just checked my driveway and my cars are still there, both a Ford Focus. I was still hoping that one of the Mustang GT's I used to have would miraculously be there instead.

" You must focus Grasshopper!" OK old saying.
The G T is a hot selling car and should be going on sale of the 2019 models soon.
We are going to Breckenridge next week. Will the hot temps. from your area rush into that area?

Today is the last day forecast for temps under 100F. It will be over 100F for the next week or so. Not a time to drive with the top down with a convertible.
