50 yard or 50m pools in Scottsdale?

    Hi,

Does anyone know of any 50 yard or meter pools in the Scottsdale area? Want to get a few practices in at that lap distance before a March tri.

    Thanks for any help!

Elaine, the only 50M pool in Scottsdale is Cactus Park (http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/parks/cactuspool). However:

    • It's rarely set up LCM during the spring; usually just in the summer and over end of the year holidays when the kids are training.
    • It will be closed from March 7th to April 24th this year.

Your two options, to consider, though are:

    • Check with Mesa Masters (www.mesamasters.com) to see if they'll be running any LCM workouts at Kino Pool.
    • Check with Phoenix Swim Club masters (Mark Rankin athttp://www.teamunify.com/SubTabGeneric.jsp?team=azbest&_stabid_=8142) as I think they still do a Sunday LCM workout.

I'm pretty sure that the Sun Devil Masters group that works out at ASU is still training SCY.
