Question Who's going to Nationals in Mesa?

Who's going to Nationals in Mesa? Although I'm not looking forward to the heat and swimming outdoors, I can't wait!

At least it doesn't have the humidity of Georgia and Florida and other nearby states! I'd take the dry heat any day!

And if you look in the psych sheet, it's lists everyone who's going

Yep, you're right; I just saw the meet roster. So, this thread is officially dead.

    Elaine,

I'll be emailing those who are going to see who is interested in relays. Looks like this time the younger age groups will have relays since we are 1 swimmer short for an older mens relay and I can't see them in the 45+ age group if they swim with Bob Bugg who is the next oldest.

I know you are up for them. I may ask you to handle the paperwork for them in my absence. Ed will be there too for officiating.

Mark and Dan Beatty are going, but they are in the 40-44 age group. Looking over the meet roster, it's disappointing to see how few of us from GAJA will be there. It's looking like I may have to wait until LCM to get my relays in. But, I'm up for whatever relays we can get together and I would be happy to help!

We will be putting in a few relays but they will be in the younger age groups due to the age mix for this meet.

I will be sending out an email this weekend to see how is interested and will coordinate with Ed since he will be officiating.

Mark and Dan Beatty are both younger than me; Mark must be the "baby" going then... I'm glad Bob Bugg is going!

Re: Who's going to Nationals in Mesa?

Nationals was a blast; especially with my GAJA teammates! We were able to put together a mixed freestyle relay, as well as a mixed medley relay, but we had to compete in the 35+ age group (I'm 49).
Although we ended up 22nd of 33 teams in the free relay and 25th out of 39 in the medley relay, we had a great time and gave it our best shot.

Here are videos of our relays, as well as individual races of GAJA members. I am also including a video of Atlanta Water Jock, Stephanie Yoshimura, because she is an awesome swimmer and a really nice gal!
