Attention ILMSA members,

Following the state meet on Saturday April 21, 2012 we will hold our annual Spring ILMSA membership meeting. During that time elections will be held for Vice-Chair and Treasurer. Please submit any nominations to chair@ilmsa.com. If you have any questions please also forward them to chair@ilmsa.com

Food and drinks will be served at the meeting! Thank you!!!

State Meet Sanction Update: This year's IL Masters State Meet will have a dual sanction of USMS and USA Swimming.

This means the times of any athlete holding a current USA Swimming Athlete Membership will automatically be recorded in the USA Swimming Database. As a result, these times may also be used to qualify for Senior Champs, US Open, Grand Prix Meets, Speedo Sectionals, Nationals, ect. If you are not a current USA Swimming Athlete member, this does not apply, and your times will not be entered in the USA Swimming Database. The dual sanction will in no way effect your results or ranking with USMS.

Breaststrokers ---- make sure you understand the LATEST ruling on the pull-fly kick- br kick rule that has just been restated.
It says that you may use the fly kick AFTER the hands move apart & before the BR kick, on starts & turns, is the way I understand it.

Congrats Naperville on winning State! I saw that Evanston came in 3rd. Who came in 2nd?

Chicago Masters easily was in second place overall, and were the Mens Champions for the first time.

You're welcome! I was a part of the group of UIC Swimmers that timed the meet and ran check-ins. It was a pleasure to watch and see everyone race well. I was especially excited to see Chicago Masters swim, because we had trained along side them all year long.
