    Make it legal James!

    Good luck everyone!

Day 1 of YMCA Nationals - good job by tjrpatt, winning the 1000 free gridge with his 1650 split against tjrpatt, who raced the 1000.

    Code:

    1000 Free Gridge Standings
    tjrpatt 1650 split: 11:14.56
    tjrpatt 1000 race: 11:16.29
A hard-fought gridge, but alas there can be only one winner. tjrpatt, make sure as the winner to collect your beer from tjrpatt!

I'm planning to pace him to a fast 400 IM record...again! He told me last time at Kirkland that he actually enjoys swimming the 400 IM with me right next to him. I get out to a fast Fly/Back, and he trys to reel me in during the breaststroke. My goal is to not see him in front of me on Saturday.

Also let the record show that tjrpatt started his 1650 in 2:05.26, so that OTHER gridge is off and running as well.

Ah, you're a dork! Thanks for the kind words. I guess that I did good by not quiting the 1650 and finishing the 1000. Now, let's see if my 500 time can be beat my 500 split of my 1650. Last year, my 500 time couldn't beat my 500 split from the 1650. > It is noon here which means it is time to hit the bars!!! I kid.

I have a video of this race. Both did excellent and Fort broke a National Record. Michelle is doing great here and is really nice. She asked me to tell you all "hello" from her.

    Re: Mega Masters Weekend

Congratulations to Forumite PatrickJM for his 5 gold medals won today at the Gwinnett Geezer Games (Gwinnett Senior Golden Games). In my races, I had an awesome swimmer kill me in the 50 back, fly, free, and 100 free, but I beat her out in the 50yd breaststroke to win a gold meday. It was also my best 50 breaststroke time, since 2010, so I was happy! I ended up with four silvers in my other races. In all, we swam 5 races in about one hour.

Tomorrow, it's back to Gwinnett for a USMS developmental meet for 5 more races, including the 200 breaststroke; the last race of my race day.

    What an awesome weekend!

    Good job Elaine!

My extensive informant network has sent me the goods from the 200 free race in Federal Way wherein Jaadams1 did a 200 fly:

Thanks, 'Shark! And, thanks to That Guy and Chris, too; I appreciate it!

Yes, the meet was at West Gwinnett Park; a fairly new (and, nice!) indoor pool.

    Congratulations to Fort!
