Results from the 2012 National YMCA Masters Championship have been uploaded to the meet results database.
Congrats to James, Elaine and That Guy!!! I don't understand how James does this back-to-back-to-back-to-back event thing ... amazing.
This is a bizarre timing error from Y Nats. Only one 50 year old woman has ever broken 25 (Traci, the NR holder). Maybe they should have checked their results more carefully.

I think Rick Colella set 4 national records in M60-64 this weekend at PNA Champs. 100 BR 1:04.7, 200 BR 2:21.0, 100 IM 58.x, 400 IM 4:33. He just missed the 50 breast record, and knelson and i were in the pool when he took a run at the 1000 and 1650 records.
As Allen posted in the breaststroke lane, Megan Jendrick posted some terrific SCM times at the Oregon Association meet: http://www.swimphone.com/mobile/meet...an&ln=Jendrick
It actually went back-to-back, then skip one, then back-to-back-to-back.Events #1,2,4,5,6 were the ones I swam.
But it felt like 5 back to backs!!
The key to my success: Fast food (makes you swim fast, hence the name) and whatever else I can find, 12 oz. sodas at both breaks and lunch at work, and a 44oz. soda on the way home. Oh yeah...and a couple hours of swimming each week in the pool.![]()

I don't know either...100% honest. Ask Kirk. I was with him pretty much after the 400 IM till I went for the backstroke.
I was flat out exhausted. I didn't even know how I was going to complete the 200 Back. IMO, it's the hardest event out there, because you have to use your legs soooo much.
I just went out relaxed, and then somehow held on to it, dropping almost 5 seconds! It's probably mainly that I had no expectations heading in to the race either! A head that can't think is sometimes better than "well prepared" one for a well thought out race.
...plus I knew my daughter was videoing the races too! That gave me incentive to perform for the camera!![]()

I agree that Sheila is a rock star.
Do you agree that times should be accurately reported?
James, having your daughter filming was no doubt a huge incentive!
Here is another record going down by The Fort!
Leslie is in the 4th lane from the bottom and Michelle is 2 above her.

Leslie, thank you for pointing that out. I will investigate. I was at the meet and I collected the results file from the meet director and uploaded it to the database.
The meet had a lot of relays and at the end of the meet they hand-entered all of the leadoff splits into the computer. Because of the way the meet software works the most efficient way for them to do that was to create separate events, which they called "time trials" in the software (the software does not have a choice for "leadoff split"). I suspect that this was a relay leadoff split. If the relay team swam in a different order from what was printed on the card (or if they had a substitution for the first swimmer) and didn't write it onto the card, then the computer operator wouldn't have known that.
Lesson for everyone: if you swim on a relay and there is a substitution on the team, or if you swim in a different order, PLEASE make sure that the timers cross out the name on the card and write in the correct swimmer's name. Legibly. Your meet director will be eternally grateful.
Anna Lea thanks for the explanation…
