Totally understand - but we'll miss you! Have you tried those funny little neck wraps (they're filled with some kind of absorbent material) - you get them wet & hang them around your neck - they keep you cool for HOURS! And pretty cheap - I think they run about $10-15 each & come in cute fabrics too.

Haven't seen anything about registration for Pan Ams. It said the registration would be open 11/6/12, but haven't found any online registration. Am I missing something, or has it just not been posted yet?

I have never swum in an Inter-national meet. Do they do drug testing? because the meds I take might show up.

I haven't heard of any testing of masters at any swim event.

Knott's Berry Farm is awesome. Cheaper than Disneyland and just as much fun (as far as rides go)- of course there isn't a famous mouse!
I took my son there during the 2006 Nationals in MViejo. It was about 30 min up the freeway from the pool. I recommend it.

They do test for beer, and if you didn't have any the night before they don't let you swim.

Paper entries are not being accepted for the Pan American championships. As Rob suggested, perhaps your friend can find someone with a computer to do the entry for him.

Another suggestion, for those who don't like to use their credit cards online, is to purchase a Visa gift card and then use that to pay online.
