I am coaching a summer league team (non USA Swimming) next year and would like to have a professional liability policy to cover me. This is proving difficult. My homeowners umbrella won't cover it. The various companies out there that insure "fitness" professionals specifically exclude coaching of a competitive team. The HOA policy for the pool wants $700 to add me, which is pretty high.
I am wondering if anyone out there can provide direction on this matter for me?
Try Esix insurance.

They do the triathlon coaches insurance, which is the only policy I have seen that will individually cover a coach working in open water.

General & Professional Liability at affordable rates.
Contact the USMS insurance broker to see whether they might know of something.
