I'm glad I live in an area where there isn't the demand for some of the distance events. We can wait all the way till the day of the meet for the most part, and still deck enter into the 1650s/1000s.Our upcoming meet has a cap of 18 on the 1500 Free, but I doubt it'll clear 12 swimmers.

All USMS swimmers are welcome to compete at the 2013 ILMSA Championships.
Registration for the Illinois State Meet went well the first week. The Thursday session of the two-to-a-lane 1650 filled in less than two days, the Friday session filled in five, 160 total spots! The 120 500Fr spots filled in three days. Bam! Entrants, please arrange for your own lap counter.
The 400 IM on Sunday morning has 38 spots left (out of 120). Plenty of time to train for shorter events, and to enter them!
Team awards go down to 8th place! Bring a group and win a trophy! To reward your hard work, new custom medals and ribbons have been ordered. The Meet hotel is right around the corner and has a hot tub and pool area to loosen up after the meet. Have fun with fellow swimmers and make it a cheap $89 per night staycation. Meow Baby!

It seems as if the chiland area is the hotbed of distance swimmers in Illinois!!
The ILMSA State meet is getting ready to Rumble! New Team trophies, 123 Medals & 4-8 Ribbons, as well as Age group high points have been ordered. Earn one! The T-Shirts are Oddly awesome! Order one!
The Pool is new and spread out for comfort: large areas to cheer and chill. The 1650 & 500 are filled, the 400 IM is still open. Free parking. The meet hotel is around the corner.
The Illinois State Championships is a long meet on Saturday & Sunday. roughly 7-5. Plan to stay & play, or pick events in the first half or second of each day. Enter accurate seed times. Please try your best to avoid causing empty lanes & time delays.
Click the available relay buttons to let your coach know that you can swim that relay. Relays score Double points! Get your team mates to enter today!
If you fall off a Fire Hydrant and can't swim, please email ethsgbs@gmail.com to scratch from the meet before 4-15-2013.

Distance events are positive check in. Check in begins Thursday April 25th at noon. 1650, 500 & 400 IM swimmers must indicate their intent to swim by signing up at the meet or online here:

Non distance swimmers do not need to check in, all other events will be pre-seeded and heat sheets will be posted here, evanstonmasters.com and the ILMSA web sites. Please down load and print before the meet!

Just got the Heat Sheets. Do we need to bring our own White or Black caps for the 1650?
Black and White USMS caps will be provided for those entered in the mile! Bring your own counter person!

The Meet Timelines are rough estimates. For up to the minute heat results download the meetmobile swim app and be up to date via your smartphone! Want to know where we are in the meet or what heat is on the block? Use the app. Details on deck.
The 1650 is pretty much set. The 500 Free & 400 IM will be reseeded. The 500 & 400 events require mandatory check-in on deck by you, a coach or friend.
