    Edith Glusac

To Michigan Masters, Michigan LMSC, USMS, and all AAU swimmers from the past.

I have some very sad news. Edith Glusac passed away this past Sunday at 96 years old. She would have been 97 in November. She is one of the greatest swimmers that represented Michigan Masters. In 1999, she received the Michigan LMSC Lawrence Award for outstanding swimming performances in National competition. She is a 23 time USMS All American with 73 Number 1 swims in her masters career. Edith had a great personality and spirit and everyone will miss her in the future.

In 2006, she received the Michigan Masters Lifetime Achievement Award from the Michigan LMSC for contributions at both the local and national levels of USMS. I have linked a story that appeared in the 2006 Michigan Masters Newsletter starting on page 3 so you can see the contributions over her swimming career.

Always sad to hear that we have lost another fellow masters swimmer. Very sad news.
