Here's the first part of USMS's coverage of Spring Nationals.

An article on the 61 records set: http://www.usms.org/articles/article...y.php?aid=3347
An article on how two people battled setbacks to reach Spring Nats: http://www.usms.org/articles/article...y.php?aid=3346

Just a thought. Would someone be able to edit out the warmup time on each replay? That's when the problematic music is on the recording. I doubt that anyone cares to watch the warmup session. Would that be reasonably do-able?

I hope so. I really wanted to see the final day.

I wonder if the same butterfly judge dq'ed me and rich Abrahams? I was in the odd # pool. He has so many records, I can't think that he would now do a fluter kick!. I breathe on my side as other much better flyers than me do, but my lagging right arm might bring attention to me more than faster flyers.

I would think it would be more likely a "non-simultaneous" kick than a flutter kick. My feet have a tendency to drift apart a little on fly sometimes, too. Not being in the same plane is OK, but it's grounds for a DQ if there's an alternating between the feet.

Yes, a lagging arm can definitely get you disqualified. The rules state that both arms must be brought forward simultaneously over the water.
