I'm scheduled to go to Santa Marianita, Ecuador (near Manta) the first two weeks of December to teach local youth swimming in the ocean. Inge would like to have a third person that week to help. From her description and the one on work away, you will teach an hour or two on days when conditions are favorable in exchange for a room. She expects you to know enough Spanish to be able to communicate with the kids. Many children drown in that area because they don't know the dangers or any water safety skills. You can message me if you're interested or contact Inge Van Den Herrewegen on Facebook. Yes, I know it's a Third World country and that there are plenty of earthquakes there. But still...it's right on the ocean, whales swim by every day and you can learn to kite surf! Not to mention it will be in the low 80s when its freezing cold most places in the States in December.
