I'm a US citizen. Can I buy some secret sauce? Does it work better than VO2 Max shampoo?

If you bought a video here, it would be removed from your luggage before the plane landed in Tel Aviv?

Correct! It's listed as one of the prohibited items on the Customs Declaration Form.

Are they patented? They are not "ours." And despite your "secret sauce" metaphor, they are neither mysterious nor somehow magical.

I guess I should not expect logic from an obvious troll. But on the one hand you belittle Marsh as a poor coach who makes his swimmers slower, and on the other hand you say that he will hand the keys to the magical kingdom of super fast swimming to another country. Which is it?

So? More power to him (and them). Competition is a lovely thing, and will make all other swimmers better, including US swimmers.

i guess no one in US/Israel has heard of the internet ! ... really ! ... though "Secret Sauce" itself could not be sent over the internet ... maybe the recipe could ... i not sure the "The Swim Police" will be able to prevent the transfer of the "Secret Sauce"

Free enterprise. Capitalism. Did not think there were laws against that. Plus new opportunity to coach new people in new place. Maybe open up more boarders.

Excellent observation. Except we've already determined that: 1) there is no sauce that makes USA Swimming great (that's the Russian's bag), 2) our success isn't a secret (unless you've spent the past 12 years under a rock), and 3) Israel is publicly hiring Coach Marsh, so if they are stealing then they are the most inept thieves in modern aquatics.

Re: David Marsh - Consultant For Israeli Swimming

Mr. Marsh is being HIRED as their COACH, not serving as a consultant. So, he is going to COACH to the best of his ability and turn out some good swimmers, just like he has done at other places.

How is this action any different than a person leaving company A to work at company B? Typically people seek out better benefits, better work environment, and of course better pay.

Capitalism and self preservation. Plain and simple

The secret sauce has already been given away! That means that David Marsh and whatever he's doing is no longer news.

Japan has less interaction with American coaching than most countries. I'd love some Japanese secret sauce for my breaststroke.I just saw the video for that record and it was impressive.
