    Not long QT. Coronary artery disease, the most common cause of sudden cardiac death in those over age 35.

    My brother-in-law, Bob Matysek, passed away in 2014 from sudden cardiac arrest during the Chesapeake Bay Swim. His was not caused by coronary artery disease; the autopsy found no blockages.

    Did he have a "molecular autopsy" (genetic testing)?

    No, it was just the standard autopsy done by the county coroner.
