Univ of Maryland is looking for a Masters swim coach. There are 3 options available.
Morning coach - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings 6a - 7:30a, 8:30a - 10:45a
Evening coach - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 6p - 8p
Morning and Evening coach - Coach all practices.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
· In conjunction with team administrators and masters swimmers, create and develop a training program for our year-round program (6-10 workouts/week) for both competitive and non-competitive swimmers, and triathletes.
· Develop a dry land fitness program for Masters swimmers.
· Keep attendance records and promote swim team participation.
· Follow all RecWell rules and regulations.
· Manage a coaching schedule while responding regularly and promptly to work.
· Provide swimmer feedback and manage swim meet/ triathlon/ open water event schedule of Masters swimmers.
· Prevent accidents and eliminate or minimize hazardous situations to ensure safety of participants.
· Travel to meets/ events with Masters athletes as needed.

Necessary Skills:
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Works well with people of all ages and has excellent customer service skills
· Accountable and well organized
· Has excellent stroke refinement knowledge
· Can effectively coach developmental, fitness and competitive swimmers
· High school diploma
· United States Masters Swimming membership or ability to obtain it within 30 days

Preferred Skills:
· Prior experience coaching or swimming at the collegiate level or higher.
· First Aid/Infant/Child/Adult CPR/AED certified (Professional Rescuer preferred)
· American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification or equivalent.
· Possesses a passion for the sport of swimming and working with swimmers.
· Desire to work in a fun, supportive environment with other aquatic professionals.
· ASCA Level 1 coaching certification

Starting rate: commensurate with experience
