    Blisters with fins

Hi, very basic question. My fins and zoomers very quickly produce painful rubbing on the inside top edge of my bid toes. I hear that fin socks are a good solution.

Any thoughts on fin socks or other solutions?
    What brand is best?
Will I most likely need to go up in fin size?

Well today I took a pair of beat-up socks and wore them under my fins. Worked great!

Silicone material seems to be much softer . I have a pair from Keifer that are comfy.

    Hi orca1946

so were you getting blisters or rubbing and this solved the issue. I looked at them and they seem very thin,

    Hi Karl_S

OK were you getting rubbing and they solved the issue? Looked at these and they seem a little thick. Did you need to change fin size?

Yes, the rubbing, chaffing, blistering is not an issue for me when wearing these fin socks. Yes, they are somewhat thick so I can't wear them with fins that are tight.

    Re: Blisters with fins

I've been using the DMC Elite fins, and have never had a toe, heel, blister or ankle cut since i started with them about 2 years ago. Think I could swim all day in them without a problem and sometimes have them on for most of 4k practice. They are silicone and still in great shape after 2 years.
They are medium/short size (not ultra short or long) and on the heavy side (they sink) and have an open strap type heel. They are very hydrodynamic too. You can order them from DMC, an Australian Company, and it took about 2 weeks to receive them thru their importer. Here's the link http://www.dmcswim.com/ They are more expensive (about $65, but worth it, I think)
Some guys they just give up living and start dying little by little, piece by piece. Some guys come home from work and wash up and go racin’ in the street. (Bruce Springsteen, 1978)
