Starting this league took a pretty big (relatively speaking) fight with FINA, apparently. Will be interesting to see how it pans out. Pretty much all the best regulars to the World Cup and Pro Swim Series circuits are signed on at this point. I think there are 4 teams based in America getting set up?
400 IMer/200 backstroker in another life, now sprinter/breaststroker... Yeah, I don't know how that happened either!

The swimmers mentioned in the article sure got my attention! I will be keeping an eye on this for sure. Too bad Atlanta isn't on the schedule for the 2019 season.

I think I'm pretty happy about this new league & all it has already brought to the sport. And to think all this started with Rowdy Gaines who boldly defied the expectation that swimming after 20 was just not a good idea. #OlderFaster

Wish I'd learned about it earlier in time to watch the Nov. Md. meet.

The team structure adds an interesting component. Not sure whether to root for the team from NY or the one from DC.

Wonder if the meet in Vegas will be televised.

I'm glad to see swimming on t v any time! Adding another series will broaden our sport's exposure to more people.
