    "butter"ing my fly endurance

    Hey everybody! I think I may finally be starting to grasp the concepts of butterfly. I can actually do what I would consider to be medicore fly now, but I can only do it for one length at a time. How can I build my endurance so that I can do at least a 50...that's my goal for now is 50 yds none stop. Is there anyway to better this than just swimming? Thanx!

    I found that improving my technique in butterfly enabled me to swim fly easier and further.

    Do drills, 25,50,75,100 yards of drill. Look through the forum for drills to do. Also work on technique, but the best thing to do is just do it. Next time you get to the wall, turn and keep going, if you have to stop then turn to drills, but keep doing fly until you reach the second wall. Then try and beat it, you will be surprised at how much you can really do...
