Re: Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof

I used H20 Audio for about a year and loved it and then one day when I was about 500 yards into my workout it leaked and ruined my iPod, so be careful with it.

Just good old Neosporin antibiotic creme (available over the counter in a small tube). The Neosporin helps prevent swimmer's ear and really helps them stay in your ears. The other day I forgot to put the Neo on the earbuds though and they didn't stay in very well at all....this is a must!
LMK if I can help out!! Good luck! ENJOY!!!

PS- Why did you get this if you were happy with your Swimp3? Just curious...I never tried the Swimp3.Maybe it's better?????

Gotcha! Makes sense! You just need some regular earphones if you want to use it out of the water, if you didn't already know!
And get the Neosporin and use it..EVERY time. I forgot to bring it once and the buds kept falling out!Err.......
Oh and make sure you pull out the earphones to turn it off (OUT of the water...) and don't use the off button to turn it off..and don't mess with any of the buttons on the bottom. They are set to help waterproof it.
LMK if you have more questions!
GOOD LUCK!

Re: Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof

Last night I used the swimman,..in the Ocean. I think I used too much neosporen,..the sound was muted considerable...I took it off twice, while swimming and tried clearing the earbub,..but to no avail. Perhaps I got water in the ear bud attachment tube? Tonite I`ll try it in a swimming pool under simplier conditions and no neosporen.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof

I swam in the LA Fitness pool this eveining with the swimman. Once again I had a problem with the sound muting. I used no neosporen and had no problem with the earbud becoming dislodged....except when I pushed off the wall ( and I do not push hard, my knees are shot) the music volumn decreased considerably and water got in my ear and the music out of the right earbud was muffled,..when I stopped and sucked the earbud,..the music returned and was very clear,...not too much later the same problem. I`ll have to use it again and see what happens.

Ugh! Hum. I had some problems like this before using the Neosporin.
However, I'm thinking some neosporin got IN THE hole of the earbud.
Take it and run it under cool water. Take the earbuds off as well and put them back on the unit.
The other day one of the earphones on one side stopped working completely but I just took the earbud off and washed it and put it back on better and it's fine now.
Sorry for your troubles. Keep messing with it and clean it good. Make sure again NOT to get the Neosporin IN the earbud holes. I bet that is what happened!
Keep us posted!

PS- When you are done with the unit for the day hang the earphones up to dry so the water drains out of the headphones (upside down U)

Yeah. I tried this a was SO AFRAID of this happening. Plus the earphones were TERRIBLE and didn't stay in. Also the case is just way to big to swim laps with...
I hated it!

Hey all... my hubby got me a Swimman for my birthday... tried it out this past Saturday. I was amazed at how clear the sound was. I did not have any problems with the earphones. All in all... I am in love with this thing! I give it two thumbs up.

Isn't it awesome? I rocked out on mine today and swam a LOT!!!
Makes it so much more fun! Just kinda look like a dork with it though. I get lots of stares too. I think people are amazed it's waterproof!

Re: Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof

I currently use the H20 shuffle case and H2O H3 headphones. I do have an otterbox for my Nano as well and they all seem to work fine. Water does get in my ears sometimes, but I can still hear the music, just lower volume...I have been tempted to get the Swimman earbuds just to check them out...have to wait for 99 bucks to find me though

So you have the case? Careful, someone else on here said there's eventually leaked and ruined the ipod! OUCH!
Get the swimman, it's awesome! The earbuds work incredible too (with the Neosporin of course!!!)

Yeah...I saw that..it does say to make SURE you put more silicon about every 5 times you remove the shuffle...personally I don't like that, but I have also read some negative stuff on the Swimman...might send it off one day to get the treatment done on the one I have

I'm sure you can find negative stuff on all of the waterproof music contraptions...I tried a few and just personally LOVE the Swimman. The sound itself is just as if you were out of the water!!!! WHOO HOO...I can really get into swimming with my tunes to help out.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof

Has anyone tried the iSH2-Waterproof Headset (Natalie Coughlin Signature Series)? Is it the same as the H2O? I just got a promotional email about it, and while I have a swimman (not a fan of the headphones), I'm curious about this one. The headphones look more like traditional ear buds and have the option of being mounted on a frame.

http://www.h2oaudio.com/shop/product.php?productid=41

Otherwise, did anyone opt for the smaller swimman earbuds? Mine just seem huge and won't stay in very well. The cord just isn't very bendy, and is very awkward to work with.

Thanks!

YES! I HAD to use the smaller earbuds on the Swimman. The larger ones didn't work at all for me. And it's all in WHERE you attach the headphones to the goggles. I just LEAVE the headphones attached also so I don't have to keep putting them off and on the googles. They are too difficult to do that!! Good luck! I haven't tried this gadget though....

Ooh, where do you attach the headphones? Maybe that has something to do with why I can't keep them in. I hate to order the smaller ones and have those not work either.

On the google straps but like on the back of the head almost so they come forward. Give them some GIVE so you have room to put them in the ears easily. Hope that makes sense! Why, where have you been putting them?
If you have smaller ears, then the smaller buds are what you need! Oh and USE THAT Neosporin. I bring it out a leave it by the poolside. If you keep taking the earphones in and out of your ears you have to constantly reapply the Neosporin (gives it the suction). I'm sure the pool faculty loves me putting Neosporin in the pool.hehe.
