Fall/winter schedule

I know that nothing is official yet because there are no meets up yet on the website yet, but does anyone have an idea of what the scedule is going to look like? Are the Patriot masters going to host the sprint classic again? And what about scm champs? I hope its not in boston again.

I'm getting back in the pool on Monday and I'm looking to focus on training for thoes 25's at the sprint classic!

Re: Fall/winter schedule

You need to. I'm gonna be giving you a little more competition this year than last.

Yes, the Patriot Sprint Masters looks like it will be the third weekend in Oct.

SCM Zones looks to be back at Rutgers again.

Re: Fall/winter schedule

Let's see, I do beleive that so far some of the cast of characters will be:

Michelina (but there is no 1650 so I'm not completely sure), Swim Stud (too bad there's no 200 Breast), Fortress (all the 25s she could ask for), Imspoiled (no 150 back), Swimshark (no 4IM for you), pwolf66 , Warren (someone has to dethrone you sometime), SwimmieAvsFan (yes, you have to sprint), Blackbeard's Peg, Jim Thornton (who will hopefully start the 200 with his ORIGINAL heat?), Jroddin (will he avenge his defeat in the 100 Free?), Julieopl (too bad, no 200 back), Ensignada (look out for that.....bulkhead!!!), Swimmy (who gets special dispensation to swim a 1000) to name a few.

If I've missed anyone I humbly prostrate (pro- not cas-) myself and beg for forgiveness.

I do believe that several others had mentioned possibly attending. Such as Mermaid (Mason will save on lighting due to her 1,000,000 Watt smile) and hopefully others will come and test thier inner sprinter.

Re: Fall/winter schedule

Oct 26 - Sprint Classic at GMU
Nov 8 - SCM in Virginia Beach. Good pool. Relays on schedule this year.
Dec 6-7 SCM Zones at Rutgers. (I think that is the date.)
Feb 1 - Alexandria, VA
Feb 14-15 - VMST meet in Richmond (I'm not sure the date is set yet).
That's all I know about so far.

Working on a small contingent from Richmond (road trip!), looks promising so far.

Re: Fall/winter schedule

SCM Zones could be a challenge for me. EMT finals are on the week following, I'd have to swim 'n' study..

Awesome, It's on my b-day again As long as my shoulder is ok, I should be there. It was an awesome meet last year and I definitely want to go again this year.

Re: Fall/winter schedule

I'm with you Mollie, sprints are for wimps With that said, I'll be there.

We are also planning a trip up north for Zones. I'm shocked that I am getting John to go above the Mason Dixon line.

Chris,

You still planning on being at this meet? I've actually cleared my calendar now and can attend a meet that weekend. Given that I have to be in NJ on Monday the 8th, I'm thinking I'll attend the Rutgers meet versus Long Beach. I'm hoping to be in shape enough to swim fast ... I might even spring for a B70 and shave down for the 1st time in my Masters' career.

I'm still trying to convince my Dad to come up ...

Yep, that's still the plan, I don't see why it wouldn't happen. Right now I am planning to rest too, and I believe that the 200/400 free fit in my schedule so we can have some fun. You're on your own in the IM, though...

I'll just tell Warner about all the partying that will be going on, I'm sure he'll come.

I'm planning on driving up with a few Richmond swimmers (including Dave Holland), assuming their plans stay solid; if your dad doesn't want to fly, he can ride up with us; I'll email him right now.

Re: Fall/winter schedule

Warren,

You should be fine. Which LSC are you in? Check with the registrar. I sent my registration in at about the same time last year and got my card in about 2.5 weeks. You still have plenty of time as entries have to be post-marked by 13 Oct.
