The entries were extended to help the host have a financially successful meet. We currently have about 800 entries, which would make this Long Course Nationals the smallest since the Buffalo, NY meet in 1994. We will be finished early each day and the sixth event will not be dropped. |

Is there any way to confirm that our registration was received?

Henry asked: Is there any way to confirm that our registration was received?
If you enter online, you get a web identification number at the end of the registration process. You also get an e-mail message confirming your regiration within 24 hours. If you entered by mail and included a SASE, you should receive cofirmation by mail. If not, contact the meet director at: antoniou@rci.rutgers.edu Also, nationals psych sheets are always posted before the meet. This is done about 1 to 2 weeks after the entry received deadline, which has been exteded to July 14, 2003. |

Since the meet looks like it will be small and over early each day, would it be possible to start warm-ups and the meet an hour (or so) later than planned? Some of us coming from the west may appreciate a later start...

How many people have signed up so far? It would be nice to get a good turnout, but it would also be nice to be able to swim all six events.
BTW, if it's possible to selectively keep any males in the 50-54 age group from finding out about this extention of deadline, this particular 51 year old male, who has already signed up, would be very grateful! |

With regard to the question about having the events start later each day, we've made the decision to leave them as published in order to not confuse anyone by making any changes other than the extension of the deadline for entering the meet. If we have 800+ swimmers, we'll probably see timelines running into the 5:00pm - 6:00pm time period. Deck seeding will enhance the speed of the meet, which might be important to a lot of people on Sunday.
