I thought that providing shuttle service from the listed hotels was the responsibility of the meet hosts. I'm sure many people made their hotel reservations based on the good faith that there would indeed be a shuttle from the listed hotels. We are at the Wellesley Inn, too. What are you going to do about not having a shuttle, Tracy?

My teammate that is coming rented a car, and we're all going to pitch in and pay for it. Supposedly the Wellesley is only about 3 or 4 blocks away. The other hotels that won't have a shuttle are the Hampton Inn and the Ramada Somerset.
The other news is, if you're not booked under the National Masters rate at any of the hotels, you can't use the shuttle! I have a copy of the e-mail from Team Meeting Services (TMS) if you want it! Tracy |

Hi, Tracy,
The Wellesley is about 3-4 miles (not blocks) from the pool. We took a cab from the hotel to the pool. The cab driver got lost, even with the meet directions that I gave him. It took us about 30-45 minutes to get there. I spoke to the meet director and complained that a shuttle was promised at this hotel. He said they didn't have enough folks staying there. Of course, he didn't know that John and I were staying there because we didn't ask for the USMS block of rooms. We got it cheaper with Orbitz. Anyway, he arranged for us to change to a hotel with shuttle - the Somerset Marriott. We will check out of the Wellesley tomorrow. Mary
