The actual qualifying times for each year's Nationals are calculated that year, based on times during the previous three years. They're publishedin Swim Magazine along with the Nationals entry form (around February or March).
But you can enter up to three individual events, without meeting the times -- they only apply if you enter more than three events. So everyone in your club, who wants to, can go whether or not they meet the times. |

You can go to:
http://www.usms.org/comp/scnats02/nqt.php That is the short course NQTs for 2002. I assume that you are in the 19-24 age group as waiting 1.5 years is a long time I checked the prelim to last years and there is not much of a change; all are pretty close. (If you want the exact time take the National tenth place time for the past three years, total them, divide by 3 and add 10% - If you dont have a tenth place time for all three years, go to the rule book . and make friends with a Math major).Good luck in Indianapolis michael
