Some of you may have been fielding questions regarding FINA Worlds.

This is to let you know that the 2014 FINA Worlds pool results are now uploaded to the USMS Event Rankings Database. The results data received by USMS needed a significant amount of manual editing before it could be uploaded. This effort was completed by Anna Lea Matysek and Jim Matysek of the USMS Office.

Anna Lea has provided some additional points regarding the Worlds results ...

1. If you know swimmers in your LMSC who have attended, please check to make sure they're included in the event rankings. If you see an error, please report the error to the MeetResults@usms.org mailbox.

2. All relay leadoff splits, AND all intermediate splits from individual results, will be automatically submitted for Top10. The individual LMSC Top Ten Recorders should not submit any Worlds results through the LMSC Top Ten Submit.

3. All relay leadoff splits will be inserted into the publicly-displayed results & event rankings. At the moment, USMS is holding off on the insertion in case errors are found by the Top Ten Recorders.

4. Any swimmer who wants a split from an individual event to show up in the publicly-displayed results & event rankings should e-mail a request to the MeetResults@usms.org mailbox.

Many thanks to Anna Lea and Jim Matysek for the huge effort involved in finishing this task.

Jeanne and Anna Lea,

Where should Top Ten Recorders go to look for errors in relay leadoff splits from FINA Worlds?

Jeanne and Anna Lea,

Hi Mary ...

The concern for the TTR's to quick-check results was to look if there were any omitted swimmers. As far as the relay split times, the relay split times are not shown when one looks at the meet through the event rankings website and selects a specific club. But, split times were verified by Walt Reid as he was observing at the meet to determine if any splits were FINA records.
