That looks like fun.
Feeling ok for now. It was a comfortable pace. Not getting as much floatation now that I've lost some fat.
Great job ont he time, Donna. How do you feel?
My next open water is the Waikiki Rough Water Swim in September. It is mostly a vacation but I make all of my vacations SwimCations!
Great first OW race in Charleston Donna. Hope you enjoyed it and feel like doing more. It's so much different from racing in the pool, some good and some not so, but a new challenge.
To find encouragement I'll just listen to beach music to remind me I am going to Hawaii for the Waikiki Rough Water Swim this year! That's a huge encouragement - one of those "bucket list" races that can hopefully keep your mojo going through the hard times. As for feeling like yuck before Nationals, channel some Bobby McFerrin and don't worry, be happy. It's actually a good thing to feel like crap a few days before your big meet!
2000 free w/paddles & bouy 15:07 at the 1000 and 24:57 at the 1650 and 30:15 at the 2000 It looks like your pace slipped by 0:01 per 1000 in the second half. Either you have absolutely no sense of pace, or you are a Slacker!
thanks for reminder about kicking on back. another benefit for me is kicking on back I get more work on underwater dolphin kick out, streamlining and breakouts which are weak areas for me.
The pool was packed today. Is it always that way on Friday morning?
I ask at the Lmsc meeting
hey donna ... its jack c from later in the morn at the aquatics center ... i've called the meet director and left a message for the atlanta meet ... i'm trying to find out if they are going to have the omega backstroke ledge for starts ... if you hear yes or no, i could use the info to organize my events as i'm going to try to go to both thanks jack
And I thought from your title that you'd gone for an OW swim and a few real manatees had migrated north
Great job on descending those sets, Donna. Good luck!
Congrats!
Nice swim
When he swims down the middle of the lane....YES
You consider having someone else in your lane "crowded?"
Mine is all muscle problems fly loosens up my back nicely.
How in the world does butterfly help your back? OMG, when my back hurts, I avoid the fly. I currently have some lumbar pain, and flip turns are killing me.
for my warm down I did do some flip turns just to see how well I tollerated them. It went ok. 'hope you have turned the corner
