You can also make a wall sit harder by sitting against a yoga ball instead of the wall and putting a 10 pound plate on your lap.

I feel like I'm staving off bronchitis. Lots of weird cold viruses going around here.

The 200FR/100STROKE set is hard work. I don't care how good a swimmer you are the 100 Stroke hurts...

It took a few days, unfortunately. I think I'm ready for a fast Friday now though. Heading to Mason momentarily. So happy that we masters get to use the facility on Friday now.

Main set looks rough. How much rest did you get between send offs?

I jsut am trying to come up with chunky sets so it's not alwasy 100's and 50's which get tiring to repeat all the time. Ripping off 200's and 300's and mixing in some fast stuff seem to get the work done. I'm thinking of a 200 mod 50 hard x 4 for Wed workout.

Thanks you two. I was at the back of the pack at the gun too so I probably ran a bit better than that. I'm happy though.

Tim I do 4.5 or 5 miles 2x a week...and I usually go about 44 mins for 5 miles and that's on the treadmill. I guess the competition around me got me fired up and running faster.

Agree with Fort, anything under 50 for a 10k is great...I don't even know if I could do one in 47. Are you running regularly now?
  16. The Fortress's Avatar
47 is excellent! Way to go! You are very fit now.

    I usually do 2 a week. I did 5miles in 42mins on Tuesday...

I run if there is a purpose beyond just running (which is boring to me as a sport). Like when I ran for football conditioning, it helps my swimming...so I do it.

Awesome workout! I bet it's nice to be able to hang with the "young kids" again. Was this LCM? I'd be wiped too.
