I wrapped up meetings in San Diego today and had about 45 minutes to squeeze into the uniquely dimensioned (22 yards x 40 meters) Bud Kearns Municipal Pool ...
... before catching a later flight back home.
My workout was nothing special - a 440 IM warmup followed by 11 x 220 done as:
- 3 rounds of 3 x 220
- 2 on 2:45, one swim, one pull
- 1 on 3:45, mixed kick
- 1 swim free on 2:45
- 1 mixed kick
-- but I quite enjoyed the pool and the park setting. I came across a short video from the local PBS station about this 84 year old community gem -

I'm kind of doing a 'just stay in shape' week of training this week as I'm heading out on a camping trip with my daughter tomorrow after work through Saturday. I did a version of Workout #1 from here http://forums.usms.org/showthread.ph...-Start-Mar-7th on Monday and will try to squeeze in a swim tomorrow. My aim is to get back into a serious training cycle by Sunday.
