Bit o' kick play

I didn't have time to do the correct version of workout #2 - http://forums.usms.org/showthread.ph...s-for-Portland - so this was inspired by that true workout:

  • 1 x 100: whatever
  • 16 x 100: on 1:25, free, done in sets of 4, roughly descending each 4
    • 1st 4 w/buoy, paddles, snorkel
    • 2nd 4 w/buoy, snorkel
    • 3rd 4 w/snorkel
    • 4th 4 swim

  • 1 x 50: easy
  • 3 rounds of 6 x 50 on 1:00 with extra 0:10 rest after each round, done as
    • 1 x 50: AFAP kick, call the time RACEKICK
    • 1 x 50: easy w/snorkel
    • 4 x 50: aiming for:
      • #1 to #3 are descend kick, trying to hit RACEKICK + 0:10, RACEKICK + 0:05, RACEKICK
      • #4 is easy

    • where I did round 1 as dolphin/flutter, round 2 as dolphin/breast, round 3 as breast/flutter

  • 1 x 100: easy

TOTAL: 2,750 SCM

  • This did the trick for a workout, but I'm looking forward to hopefully swimming longer tomorrow and then getting in a good yoga session on Sunday and a dip into the new lap pool at the JCC (which was to have opened this week).
