Wednesday AM solo swim @ RR 24 Hour Fitness

air temp was somewhere around 33-34F, and it was very windy. not sure if Sendero (the outside pool) was open, but thought I'd just go to the gym.
and since I was there, staring at the HUGE pace clock, figured I'd do some good interval training (the one at Sendero isn't lit, so I can't normally see it. I do some intervals using my watch, generally with longer distances).

I began those 100s thinking I'd do 6. that went well, so I kept going, figured 10. then 12, then 15...then 20. toward the end I was coming in around 1:15. really got into a good rhythm.
now if a coach had told me to do 20 x 100 @ 1:30, I'd have made a face, and the set would have seemed monotonous, especially around 10-13. but with an open ending (with myself as coach), it was much better.

I did have to share the pool with a rather large person who seemed to have a bit of turbulance. he finally got out, then a woman got in that lane (the pool is only 2 lanes), but the turbulance continued. at the very end (when I was doing the free/breast) another person came and shared my lane until I left.
