I have a stopwatch program for my Android (I think it is available for iPhone too) that does splits and will email or text results. It is UltraChron and is available in the Android Market.

    Re: Swim APPs

I was a little disappointed in USA Swimming's DeckPass Plus. The site and iTunes store where very vague about its abilities and features. I dont enter alot of meets but wanted something to track my progress as I get back into swimming. To do this in DeckPass, I have to create a fake "meet" every time I want to enter a new time for myself. Of course, I may have overlooked some other way to do this.

    Hey Ande.

I posted [ame="http://forums.usms.org/showthread.php?t=19944"]here [/ame] about a great Android app called MySwimmingTimes that tracks your times as well as motivational time standards. The developer was very responsive to updating info that I provided specific to USMS. Feel free to check it out.

Swimradar is a good app to find places to swim close to you when traveling. It uses your location to list from closest out the location and size of the pool and a link to the facilities website.

Along with Coach's Eye, I have a similar program on the iPhone, CoachMyVideo.

Other Swim Apps I use are:

AnyCourse, a souped up stop watch that also handles distance per cycle, cycle rate, etc.

Timing Apps: StopWatch, Stop Watch (different Apps), iTime

SwimConvert - yards to meters (LCM & SCM)

    Live Results

    Live Splits

    Meet Mobile

    Go Swim

    Swim Log

On the iPad I also have Clipboard & Swim Plus Coach HD (ability to compare two clips at once, split screen)

    iphone swimming converter

I just created a swimming conversion app for iPhone. Right now it can convert between scy scm and lcm. It also stores a bunch of popular time standards. (olympic trials... world records... etc).

Here is the link to it http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/swimm...er/id534942193 or if you search on the app store, it is the one by bensmithapps

I am looking for any feedback you have or suggestions for extra capabilities that you would like to see in an all around swimming app! If you like it please consider giving it a good rating as this would help more people see it.

Feel free to message me or comment. Right now it is .99 (I am trying to help fund my summer club swimming ) but if you can't spend the money I have a limited amount of codes for a free download so message me.

    Thanks!
    Ben

    Re: iphone swimming converter

The following iPhone app is perfect for coaches and parents. It allows you to track splits during training or races to share and discuss them with the swimmer later on. Is the swimmer keeping an even pace or is he/she too fast in the start and slow and end?. This is the type of question this app helps to discuss. The app also supports automatic splits for relay events.

Check it out in the Apple store: goo.gl/u3WjQW

If you would like a*prescriptive*way to create and store workouts, and view an interval clock while you (or your swimmers) workout, try ScWIDs.com. ScWIDs stands for Swim catalog and Workout Interval Display system. It is a free web-based app (no ads either) so it works on any device with an internet connection (WiFi or cellular).*

    Re: iphone swimming converter

Was a little miffed with Meet Mobile going to a premium of 6.00/year. AND it still doesn't have all the bugs worked out. The location filter won't stay turned off and when I try to change locations the list to choose from pops up and disappears. It also doesn't have a feature I would very much like. I would like to be able to call up a list, by gender, of swimmers who have scored points... To be able to track high point scorers during the meet.
